You can catch sight of buffalo grazing, giraffes stretching their necks for an extra bite and impala racing through the plains. After a day of excitement you can rest and rejuvenate at the Escarpment Luxury Lodge and sleep to the wild soundtrack of Lake Manyara.

Depending on the time of year you my get to witness the Great Migration where millions of Wildebeest cross the plains in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti is nature’s greatest show; you can watch animals take their first steps and their last breaths under the same stretch of blue sky. Over the next couple of days you can see baboons, wildebeest herds, big cats, elephants, giraffes and charging rhinos along with so much more. In the evening you can return to the Mapito Tented Camp for dinner and the chance to watch the stars come out.

Before the sun rises you have the chance to take one last expedition through the Serengeti and to see the nocturnal animals return from a night hunting. Back at the camp you can enjoy a beautiful breakfast before heading to the lush Ngorongoro Crater. Standing on the rim of Ngorongoro you will feel like you are on the edge of the world. A Maasai guide will take you on a trek through the bush to track elephants, monkeys and other wildlife. In the evening you can return to the idyllic atmosphere of the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or Ngorongoro Farmhouse for dinner and relaxing.
Day 6 – Ngorongoro
After breakfast you can descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a day filled with wonder. The staggering crater walls rise up around you and on the floor of the crater you can find everything from grazing wildebeest to racing big cats, black rhinos bursting through the trees and exotic birds taking flight. You can rest in the shade and enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the swaying plains, the deep dark forests and the emerald shimmer of this rich and dramatic landscape.
